Magic/k

Magic/k has been defined differently by various cultures at various times, in various ways and yet its belief and use has endured thru time.
Today much more is understood about the mind-body connection and how our thoughts in fact shape the quantum field, ourselves as well as the conscious universe itself.
All types of Magic/k involve the ability to shift and manipulate energies and/or morphic fields.
So various forms of Magic/k are attempts thru consciousness to shape the universe.
"Magick is the Highest, most Absolute, and most Divine Knowledge of Natural Philosophy; advanced in its works and wonderful operations by a right understanding of the inward and occult (hidden) virtue of things; so that true Agents being applied to proper Patients, strange and admirable effects will thereby be produced. Whence Magickians are profound and diligent searchers into Nature; they, because of their skill, know how to anticipate an effect, the which to the vulgar shall seem to be a miracle." - *The Goetia of the Lemegeton of King Solomon.*

Magick: The alteration of objective reality through the alteration of subjective reality.
The religious or mystical is the approach of the soul to God.
The scientific or magical is the approach of the soul to inner creation.
MAGIC & MAGICK
There is a difference between Magick and stage magic or legerdemain. Magick can be defined as the alteration of objective reality through the alteration of subjective reality, For example, having faith is an alteration of subjective reality. Moving mountains is an alteration of objective reality. Stage magic is the simulation of magick for either entertainment or fraud.
TRADITIONAL ARTS
The traditional arts are; Hermetics, Natural Alchemy & Spiritual Alchemy, Qabalah, Gematria, Skrying, Divination, Geomancy, Horay Astrology, Astral Projection, Theurgy, Thaumaturgy, Music, Philosophy, Mathematics etc.
LEARNING MAGICK
You learn Magick & become a practitioner by; reading, study and hard work. It's in the application of what you learn that allows you to grow in your craft from Novice, to Journeyman, to Mage. Magickal knowledge is earned, learned or a gift. It can't be bought & sold. Selling books about Magick is only selling raw data or information about the subject. The writer, printer, publisher etc. must make a living somehow. They are not "selling Magick". They are selling books. If the books have accurate information then they can be useful. You use your intelligence to glean knowledge from the book. You gain the knowledge from the book on your own. You LEARNED it on your own. It is up to you to use it wisely.
The very best place to acquire Magickal knowledge & training is by an apprenticeship under a practicing Mage or from a Magickal group, as there is a great deal about Magick that is best taught by illustration. The next best method is by self initiation through reading, study, rigorous training, and practice, practice, practice. This method is slower, longer and requires more discipline as the only way you learn is by trial and error. It is often hard for the novice to resist the temptation to take on more than he can manage without a Mentor to guide him within his own limits, to clear up
confusion, provide focus, guidance, knowledge, experience. The Mentor provides a sense of direction towards a focused goal. He can help shape and expand the student's knowledge and abilities as he develops & grows along the path.
As to reading by all means begin with the public library. Don't be too surprised if you don't find a whole lot. The public library in my experience deals with the popular press on Magick, if at all. They take a lot of heat from church groups over these type of books so usually steer clear. Sadly, most of the books I'll recommend to you are not in the public library, most are still in print, in paperback. Others are not but are well worth the hunt. They can be ordered through *most* full service book stores. Many full service book stores have mail order services. Check the books in print in the public library and get the ISBN. It makes ordering easier. Also check used book stores, estate sales, flea markets, rummage sales etc.

Magic/k encompasses many things -- science and art, philosophy and metaphysics, psychology and comparative religion. Magic/k is an adventure at the borderlands of the

Magic/k is fun and interesting. Use magic/k to help raise consciousness without drugs. Gain new experiences. Fantasy can come alive through magic/k. Psychic phenomena can be controlled and be fun and helpful.
Magic/k is beneficial . It can help you to have excellent health, and bring you good luck. With magic/k life runs smoothly; life is good. Also use magic/k for personality improvement, to control bad habits and to develop new motivations.
Magic/k is powerful . Never underestimate the tremendous power of magic/k. Use magick to alter events and to achieve your goals. Exert an influence over people and phenomena. But power for its own sake is self defeating. The power which magick can give you should not be your primary reason for studying it.
There are many forms of Magic/k the most common are group ritual Magic/k & individual Magic/k.
Purpose of Ritual Magic/k
Ritual and symbolism are the tools Initiates use in the search for truth, whether this is their personal spiritual journey or a path towards the perfection of mankind; to liberty, equality and fraternity.
Group ritual Magic/k
In group ritual Magic/k an assembly of Mages come together with a common purpose such grade initiation of a member. The senior members prepare the morphic fields of the lodge by focusing on raising the energy levels of the lodge to the proper grade level as specified by the ritual grade. Various officers adopt the thought-forms of their specific office to help shift the energies of the candidate in the huge morphic fields during the ritual.
The energies contained in the ancient rituals act as reservoirs that can be tapped at various point in the ritual to aid the candidate to achieve the goals of that specific ritual.
This is why merely reading the ritual by the non initiate does little to nothing. The rite must be preformed by initiates in a proper open lodge with the proper thought forms & key words in operation to gain the desired effect on the candidate with proper time intervals between rituals for the Spiritual growth & learning of the candidate.
Allegory & symbols are used to teach moral truths to the candidate - taking them from moral darkness to Spiritual light in a series of steps.
The Masonic method is to preform the rite well and allow the physical
temple, symbols & psychological impact of the ritual being worked
impact the candidate. The Magic/kal method is adopting god-forms while
at the same time imagining the magic taking place in an ideal symbolic
location. Today we call this creative visualization.
Individual Ritual Magic/k
Is where an individual Mage focuses on
raising energies of the morphic fields to a dedicated purpose with or
w/o the help of Guides to cause a shift to a higher reality for the Mage.
At Integrated Magic I bring all that I have learned of Magic/k, the mind-body connection, Quantum Fields, Matrix Energetics & Quantum Physics to bring about a Shift & change to a higher reality in your life.
